Winter Dance

Time to gather around the fire to dance and celebrate LIFE!..

With much LOVE, GRATITUDE and deep RESPECT; today I share one of the many gifts I received by the Sin'ixt (my family and the first peoples of the land I call home) is the teachings of Winter Solstice; which is also our new year celebration.

For three days all the people gathers to dance.. and as we go around grandpa fire, we let go of the old, what is no longer useful; and we take care of any unbalanced relationships so we may go into the winter moons in harmony.

On the longest night of the year we pray for blessings and our well-being, as we receive the new light and the return of the sun.

So what's the winter dance?

To me is a great opportunity to reflect about the past and dream about the future, but most importantly is the time to give thanks for all my relations.. For all existence...

The Great Spirit, Pachamama and Myself.

For this life & this day and for all the gifts that come my way. I am thankful..

For all the teachings and all the lessons shared by all the beings that come around, making this beautiful journey even more fun and exciting.

I’m thankful for my family..

All the ones that came before me; all the ones that are here with me; and for all the ones yet to come.. I’m thankful for my son's life and for all the little children; because of them I know what it means to pray for the future. I’m thankful for my Lover.. Divine reflection, my most intimate companion. Thank you Amor for being courageous; for coming along and adventure with me into the open ocean; sailing together through the deep waters of emotional wonders ready to be explored.. Ready to be imagined and co-created! I’m thankful for my home.. For the land that sustains and nourishes my dreams. For the mountains, lakes and rives, for the animals, the trees and all plants, for the elements, water, earth, air and fire.

I'm thankful for the spirit world and my connection to my guides and powerful allies that love and protect me. This winter solstice begins a new solar cycle and I’m ready to give it my best, ready to LOVE from the centre of the heart! Your heart My heart ONE HEART, All my relations,
